Sponsor a stream

Bring a hard problem, a dataset and a prize to the biohackathon. We bring the scientists, and the stream carries your name.

What we ask

  1. A challenge

A real, non-confidential problem with context and success criteria, sized for a weekend prototype.

  2. Your time

Introduce your challenge at Friday's opening and join judging on Sunday. Saturday mentoring is optional.

  3. A prize

For the winning team in your stream: kit, an internship, a fast-track interview or anything useful.

What you get

  • A five to ten minute slot at the opening
  • A one-hour workshop, before or during the weekend
  • A stand and structured time with participants
  • Your name on the stream across event materials
  • A close look at people you may want to hire

Questions from sponsors

How polished does the challenge need to be?

Not very. Eidyn Bio is happy to collaborate with sponsors to define a challenge, context, and conditions for success. If you don't have a specific challenge in mind, you can also just support one of the pre-existing streams.

How much support do teams need from us?

If you want to be hands-on, then teams may want to see documentation and data that you can provide.

Are there limits on what a challenge can be?

Everything is dry-lab and computational.

Is it a good place to recruit?

Absolutely. PhDs and post-docs that attend biohackathons are inherently industrious, commercially-minded, and high agency. If you are a paid sponsor, we will share the profiles and contact details of any participant that wishes to be connected to future employers, as well as our assessment of their performance.
